The Field Application Specialist (FEF) is responsible for providing pre sales and post sales technical application support for SCIEX mass spectrometry (LC-MS/MS) within an assigned territory, acting as the key technical link between sales, customers, and R&D.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

Pre Sales Technical Support & Demonstration

• Deliver expert product and application knowledge to sales teams to drive competitive advantage.
• Partner with Sales Representatives on customer visits; act as a technical consultant to deliver live sample demonstrations, application case studies, and performance data to support purchasing decisions.
• Prepare and present technical seminars, webinars, and conference posters to promote SCIEX solutions.

On site Installation & Application Training

• Assist instrument installation by providing on site start up application training covering LC-MS/CE operation, software, reagents, and consumables.
• Deliver advanced training in method development, optimization, validation, and data analysis (on site or remote).
• Post Sales Application Support & Troubleshooting
• Provide expert application troubleshooting for complex issues via phone, email, or on site visits.
• Resolve method, instrument, and software problems to ensure high customer satisfaction.
• Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, technical reports, and training documentation.

Application Development & Market Growth

• Develop and validate robust analytical methods for key markets: food safety, environmental, forensic toxicology.
• Identify new application opportunities and support marketing with technical content.
• Collect customer feedback and communicate insights to global R&D and product management.
• Customer Relationship & KOL Management
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and KOLs.
• Ensure high customer satisfaction, loyalty, and retention.
• Cross Functional Collaboration & Compliance
• Work closely with sales, service, marketing, and R&D teams to align regional strategies.
• Mentor junior application specialists and drive internal knowledge sharing.
• Comply with SCIEX/Danaher quality, safety, and ethical standards.

The essential requirements of the job include:

• Master or above degree in mass spectrometry, Biology, Microbiology or Biochemistry, or equivalent experience.
• Strong technical knowledge and significant laboratory and/or scientific background in analytical chemistry using LC/MS/MS (for example: 3-5 years of previous laboratory experience or PhD with 1-2 years post doc work)
• Previous operation of the Company’ product systems or related instrumentation is highly desirable.
• In-depth industry knowledge, good understanding of customer business, applications, and other needs.
• Experience in presenting technical materials in written and verbal form.
• Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Effective communication skills to clearly articulate technical and product information to both internal and external customers.
• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple priorities, make appointments, plan schedules and coordinate efforts with Sales Personnel as well as other Service and Support personnel.
