SUMMARY: This facility is part of our Prepared Foods business unit. The Maintenance Planner is responsible for planning maintenance activities. This is a career path job with team members in this position gaining experience necessary for maintenance management.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Maintain SAP PM System data and reporting.
Analyze data for use in maintenance planning and scheduling.
Maintain and develop enterprise-wide Best Practice preventative maintenance.
Ensuring a continuing review of P.M. work orders as they relate to equipment history.
Make recommended modifications to optimize equipment reliability and maintenance labor utilization.
Learn universal maintenance standards to develop reasonable expectations for the time to complete maintenance tasks.
Identify and label all new equipment in keeping with Tyson standards and keeping records current.
Use of Key Performance Indicators to provide fact-based feedback to Maintenance Manager.
Plan maintenance work regarding level of skill and safety training required to complete task.
Review SAP data from other Tyson locations with similar equipment and report findings and recommendations.
Administer maintenance shift scheduling, work order backlog, and recommended planning for scheduled downtime work, including scheduling availability of parts.
Interface with engineering, local management, Operations Support, and various other corporate departments as necessary and outside entities when working on special projects and when performing CIR development content.
Interface with Operations Support concerning appropriate reports to develop, track and report to management.
REQUIREMENTS:
Education: Minimum of a high school or GED diploma. Any special training in maintenance or education beyond post high school level is preferred.
Experience: Minimum of two years in-house mechanical experience; knowledge of parts room procedures and policies. Previous experience in successful planning and scheduling maintenance management is a plus.
Computer Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Suite and SAP preferred or ability to learn in short period of time.
Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Special Skills: Strong mechanical aptitude, organizational skills, interpersonal communication skills and problem-solving skills are an absolute necessity for this position. The position requires the ability to work independently.
Supervisory: NA
Travel: 1 to 5 trips per year
Must reside in the United States to be considered.

No written warning in the past six (6) months
No suspension on record for the last 12 months
No lateral, downward, or self-disqualification unless for higher classification for the past 6 months.
