About This Position
Under general supervision, responsible for evaluating products, programs and services for addition to the Austin Energy product lines and for developing new products and services.
Job Description:
Duties, Functions and Responsibilities:

- Lead and maintain accountability for cross-functional teams involved in research and development of new products and target market plans.
- Manage products, programs or services as assigned. Monitor and analyze product, program and /or services.
- Conduct and manage market research projects for the evaluation and/or development of new products and market segments.
- Coordinate and/or lead launch activities for new market offerings Identify potentially beneficial product and services ideas for Austin Energy to explore for commercialization.
- Make recommendations to executive staff and business unit managers regarding product lines and services within Austin Energy.
- Develop, analyze and recommend financial analysis and forecasting for new products.
- Participate in the development of initial marketing plans.
- Provide customer focus and the development of market driven products and services within Austin Energy.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Graduation with a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in a field related to Business, Marketing, Economics, Statistics, Engineering, Communication , plus three (3) years of Experience in a field related to the job
- Experience may substitute for education up to four (4) years
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience conducting outreach, marketing, or sales to small-and medium-businesses.
- Experience with energy efficiency, building construction, or property management.
- Experience engaging with contractors, city departments, and other community stakeholders.
- Experience with customer relationship management software or workflow management software.
- Experience creating and analyzing large data sets to identify target customer types.
- Ability to travel to multiple locations.
Notes to Candidate:
This position will lead outreach and project development with local small-and medium-businesses to increase participation in Austin Energy incentive programs. The Energy Efficiency Services group is responsible for the allocation of over $20 million/year in incentives that support high-efficiency HVAC, lighting, and other building upgrades that improve comfort, lower bills, and support a more resilient electric grid. This position will engage with local business customers to provide energy education and support evaluation of energy efficiency upgrades.
Primary duties will include:
• Deliver a marketing and outreach campaign that increases adoption of energy efficiency technologies and services for small-and medium-business customers.
• Provide on-site or virtual visits to promote Austin Energy programs and offerings.
• Monitor leads and project status in coordination with Austin Energy project leads and engineers.
• Engage with key stakeholders including community and business groups; installation contractors; and equipment manufacturers or distributors.
• Lead and support analysis that identifies and targets key customer groups based on energy usage, building types, business type, etc.
This position has been designated as a Critical Employee position. Critical Employees are considered necessary and vital and supports activities that impact City or department operations. This work can be done while at a designated work site or while working at an alternate work location. Critical employees who are able to work at an alternative work location are required to do so. Schedules may be modified, and employees may be reassigned to another area during extraordinary situations or emergency conditions to provide essential services.

Pay Range: $84,670 (Min) to $107,500 (Mid)
Days/Hours: Monday through Friday; 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. - 60% telework allowed)
