Commercial & Personal Lines Account Manager
Job Summary
Seeking a dedicated and experienced Commercial & Personal Lines Account Manager to join a team. This role involves managing a mix of commercial (40%) and personal lines (60%) accounts, providing exceptional service to the clients, and ensuring the smooth operation of the insurance processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Property & Casualty insurance, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a family-oriented, flexible work environment.
Compensation Package
- Salary Range: $50,000 - $80,000 annually, based on experience.
- Benefits:
- Paid Time Off (PTO): 2 weeks to start, accruing 1 additional day per year up to 4 weeks.
- 5 sick days and 1 personal day annually.
- All major holidays off.
- Bonus potential.
- Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM with a 1-hour lunch break. Flexible scheduling available.
- Work Environment: Fully in-office for at least the first year.
Responsibilities
- Manage a book of business consisting of approximately 150 renewals, including BOPs, artisan contractors, GCs, events, churches, professional lines, and bonds.
- Quote new and renewal business, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Handle daily tasks such as issuing Certificates of Insurance (COIs), preventing cancellations, and troubleshooting client issues.
- Utilize agency management software (EX Lynx and Evix ASP) for documentation and processing.
- Collaborate with team members to maintain a cohesive and supportive work environment.
- Gradually take on more managerial responsibilities as needed.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Licenses/Certifications: Active Property & Casualty (P&C) license required.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar role (3+ years preferred).
- Familiarity with small to mid-sized accounts (average size $50k, maximum $80k-$100k).
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in EX Lynx and Evix ASP software preferred. Experience with both paper and electronic documentation processes.
- Soft Skills:
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to mesh well with a close-knit team.
- Proactive problem-solving abilities and a willingness to take on additional responsibilities over time.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Other Requirements: Must be comfortable working in-office for at least the first year.
