Summary

Reporting to the Director of Student Financial Services at the School of Law, performs a variety of routine clerical, typing and/or data entry tasks involved in processing an assortment of office materials.  The principal emphasis is the wide variety of clerical tasks performed which requires the application of independent judgment as well as clerical knowledge.

Essential Duties

• Perform routine clerical, typing, and/or data entry tasks that include packaging form letters, memoranda and invoices for mailing to students; sorting and filing materials according to an alphabetic system; verifying information on forms; organizing and monitoring materials for currency and accuracy; and answering departmental telephone and relaying messages as necessary.
• Assist Admissions with prospective students by providing guided tours of the campus and serving as a student representative at scheduled "Meet and Greets,' Open Houses, and Acceptance Days.

Qualifications/Requirements

• MUST be a full or part-time student enrolled as a J.D. candidate at Barry School of Law, and in good standing.
• Cheerful disposition and diligence to complete tasks are essential characteristics.
• Must be punctual and dependable.
• Good oral and written communication skills, along with a pleasant telephone manner.
