The Job
Support the Head of Investment Governance in designing, maintaining, and enhancing the investment governance framework, including governance standards, operating procedures, escalation protocols, and first-line control processes
Assist in pre-trade and post-trade governance checks, as and when necessary, limits monitoring, breach identification, escalation, and reporting to ensure investment activities remain within approved mandates, policies, risk appetite, and regulatory requirements
Maintain and update investment-related documentation, including investment policies, deployment procedures, monitoring processes, recordkeeping standards, governance papers, and committee materials
Coordinate with Group and local stakeholders, including investment teams, risk, actuarial, finance, operations, legal, compliance, and local business units, to embed governance standards into day-to-day investment activities
Support the preparation, maintenance, and timely dissemination of internal and external reporting, including governance dashboards, limits reports, regulatory submissions, audit materials, and management updates
Support regulatory enquiries and internal reviews by gathering information, coordinating responses, maintaining audit trails, and ensuring consistency with approved governance standards
Work closely with risk management to support portfolio risk assessments, scenario reviews, limit frameworks, governance routines, and investment oversight committees
Contribute to investment transformation and automation initiatives by identifying process gaps, improving workflows, enhancing data quality, and supporting scalable governance and reporting solutions
The Person
Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, accounting, actuarial science, law, business administration, or a relevant discipline; CFA, FRM, CPA, legal, or compliance-related qualification is a plus
Minimum of 6 to 10 years’ experience in investment governance, investment operations, risk management, compliance, transaction execution and management, asset management, insurance investment, or a related financial services discipline
Good understanding of investment governance frameworks, investment mandates, limits monitoring, breach management, pre- and post-trade controls, reporting requirements, and first-line control expectations
Experience supporting investment documentation, governance papers, committee materials, transaction records, audit trails, policies, procedures, or regulatory responses
Familiarity with public and private asset investment processes, transaction lifecycles, legal documentation, investment restrictions, and operational control points is advantageous
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively with Group functions, local business units, investment teams, risk management, legal, compliance, operations, external managers, and external advisers
Detail-oriented, organized, and process-driven, with strong ownership and the ability to manage multiple governance, reporting, and transaction workstreams under tight timelines
Familiarity with insurance investment considerations, including asset-liability management, capital, liquidity, accounting, risk limits, outsourcing oversight, and governance requirements, is an advantage
Strong analytical, reporting, and documentation skills, including the ability to prepare governance dashboards, limits reports, issue logs, process maps, and management-ready materials
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Power BI, and workflow or data tools; experience with Bloomberg, investment systems, automation, or process improvement is desirable
