Iluka Resources is a leading global producer of critical minerals, zircon and high-grade titanium dioxide feedstocks. In partnership with the Australian Government, Iluka is developing Australia’s first fully integrated rare earths refinery at Eneabba in Western Australia’s Mid West.
The refinery will produce both light and heavy separated rare earth oxides, supporting diversified global supply chains for minerals essential to defence, renewable energy, electric vehicles, robotics and advanced technologies.
About the role
We are looking for a Warehouse & Logistics Superintendent to join our team at Eneabba. Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will oversee the safe and efficient operation of the warehouse, including the receipt, storage and dispatch of materials supporting refinery operations.
You will lead a team of Storepersons, maintain effective inventory controls and work closely with procurement and production teams to ensure materials are available when required. You will also establish high standards of safety, accuracy, organisation and accountability across warehouse operations.
You will also lead a site based Shipping and Logistics Team, responsible for site control of multiple products and shipping those products to ports or transport hubs for distribution worldwide.
This is an opportunity to build a flexible and productive warehouse & logistics function that will support the long-term success of Australia's first fully integrated rare earths refinery.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead daily warehouse operations, including the receipt, storage and dispatch of materials
- Supervise, guide and develop Storepersons to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently and accurately
- Maintain an organised, clean and compliant warehouse environment
- Implement and maintain inventory controls to accurately track stock levels and movements
- Monitor inventory levels, conduct regular stock audits and resolve discrepancies
- Control the storage on-site and distribution off-site of multiple product lines (initially, eight)
- Coordinate with procurement, production & marketing teams to support the timely availability of materials and delivery of products
- Conduct regular safety inspections and implement corrective actions where required
- Provide team training on safe material handling and storage practices
- Maintain accurate records for inventory, shipments and receipts
- Prepare regular reports on warehouse performance and inventory status
- Communicate team goals, expectations and operational updates
- Promote a positive, accountable and collaborative team environment
About you
- Experience leading warehouse operations, ideally within mining, resources or a related operational environment
- Experience managing logistics providers and despatchers,
- Strong leadership and team management capability
- Sound knowledge of inventory control, warehousing and materials management practices
- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
- Experience using inventory & quality management systems and Microsoft Office applications
- Knowledge of health and safety requirements relating to warehouse operations
- The ability to work collaboratively with procurement, production and other operational stakeholders
- Certification in warehouse management, logistics or a related discipline
