Job Title:
Warehouse and Logistics Manager
Job Purpose:
Our client is seeking a Warehouse and Logistics Manager to take ownership of the warehouse and distribution function, managing finished goods, stock control, dispatch, staff and fleet operations. Work closely with production to maintain stock levels of fast-moving products, while ensuring deliveries are planned efficiently, vehicles are fully utilised and distribution costs are controlled.
Responsibilities:
- Manage finished goods, stock control and inventory accuracy.
- Monitor fast-moving stock and work with Production to maintain availability.
- Lead and manage warehouse and logistics staff.
- Oversee dispatch, deliveries, trucks and forklifts.
- Plan loads, delivery routes and vehicle utilisation to control costs.
- Manage the company’s external export provider.
- Monitor warehouse KPIs, stock movements and service levels.
- Drive cost savings and continuous improvement while maintaining safety and quality standards.
Qualifications and experience:
- 4–5 years’ Warehouse & Logistics Management experience
- Experience managing a finished goods warehouse
- Manufacturing environment experience preferred
- Strong stock control and inventory management skills
- Experience in dispatch, delivery planning and fleet management
- Strong leadership and staff management ability
- Good communication and delegation skills
- Proven cost-saving and process improvement experience
- Hands-on, results-driven approach
