Purpose of the role

To manage the financial operations of the organisation, ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and reliability of financial reporting. 

Accountabilities

  • Management of the preparation and presentation of accurate and timely financial statements, and other accounting records in accordance with the relevant accounting standards, rules and regulations.
  • Support in identification, assessment, and mitigation of financial risks, and report on these financial risks to senior colleagues.
  • Development and maintenance of a robust system of internal controls to safeguard assets, ensure that there is no fraudulent misreporting, and ensure the accuracy of financial data, including regular assessment of the effectiveness of internal controls addressing any weaknesses or gaps.  .
  • Development and implementation of up-to-date financial policies and procedures to ensure consistent and effective financial practices across the organisation.
  • Management of the selection, implementation, and maintenance of financial systems and software applications, including collaboration with IT colleagues to integrate financial systems with other enterprise systems.
  • Preparation and submission of statutory and regulatory reports to authorities, and provision of support to other departments in their preparation and review of regulatory reports.
  • Coordination with external auditors and regulatory authorities in support of audits and examinations.

Join us as VP - Financial Control, where you will lead the Bank's financial control and regulatory reporting function comprising capital adequacy, liquidity and ALM returns, ensuring full compliance with RBI regulations, accounting standards and internal control requirements. The role is accountable for accurate and timely regulatory submissions, audit and inspection management, team leadership, and driving automation and transformation initiatives.


To be successful in this role, you should:

  • Own and oversee all RBI regulatory reporting and disclosures, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timeliness.
  • Lead capital adequacy, liquidity and ALM reporting processes.
  • Ensure compliance with RBI accounting requirements, Indian GAAP, IFRS, and Ind AS standards.
  • Maintain a robust internal financial control framework and strong governance standards.
  • Manage relationships with regulators, statutory auditors, and internal auditors, including regulatory inspections and audit reviews.
  • Provide technical guidance on complex accounting, regulatory, and treasury-related matters.
  • Partner effectively with Finance, Risk, Treasury, Operations, and Business teams to deliver regulatory obligations.
  • Drive automation, process improvement, and transformation initiatives to enhance efficiency, scalability, and controls.
  • Lead, develop, and motivate high-performing teams while fostering a culture of ownership, integrity, and accountability.

Essential Skills/Basic Qualifications:

  • Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA).
  • Experience within the Indian banking industry.
  • Strong knowledge of RBI regulations and regulatory reporting.
  • Strong knowledge of Basel capital adequacy framework.
  • Strong knowledge of liquidity and ALM reporting.
  • Strong knowledge of treasury and banking products.
  • Strong knowledge of RBI accounting norms.
  • Strong knowledge of Indian GAAP, IFRS, and Ind AS.
  • Strong knowledge of financial control-related activities.
  • Strong knowledge of internal financial controls and governance frameworks.
  • Proven experience managing financial audits and regulatory inspections.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience managing large teams in a demanding and complex environment.
