Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Quality Expert to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading quality assurance initiatives within our manufacturing processes, ensuring that our products meet or exceed industry standards and customer expectations. This role requires a strong leader with a deep understanding of manufacturing quality practices and a commitment to continuous improvement.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

• Develop and execute quality control plans, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions as necessary.
• Lead and facilitate continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing product quality and operational efficiency.
• Collaborate with production, engineering, and other departments to identify and resolve quality issues promptly.
• Lead the application and maintenance of the QMS system in accordance with GE Vernova and industry standards (e.g., ISO 9001).
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and address quality issues, ensuring product and process compliance.
• Train and mentor team members on quality control procedures and best practices.
• Demonstrate a Quality mindset as a personal and business priority to foster a quality culture at all levels of the business.
• Conduct audits and assessments to evaluate the effectiveness of the QMS, recommending improvements as needed.
• Develop and deliver training programs to promote quality awareness and best practices within the organization.
• Analyze quality metrics and data to identify trends and drive corrective and preventive actions.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for external audits and regulatory inspections.
• Lead root cause analysis and problem-solving activities to address customer complaints and non-conformances.
• Oversee the implementation and maintenance of quality assurance processes within manufacturing, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
• Provide day-to-day production quality support for assigned manufacturing areas, including product inspection, nonconformance, containment, and resolution of quality issues.
• Support and perform internal audits, Layered Process Reviews (LPRs), and 5S audits, including follow-up of identified actions.
• Support the daily operating rhythm by reviewing quality performance, escalating risks, and driving quality actions to closure.
• Support the Quality Management System (QMS) and compliance with applicable procedures, standards, and quality requirements.
• Lead Management of Change (MOC) activities, including documentation, coordination, implementation, and follow-up.
• Partner with Manufacturing, Engineering, Supplier Quality, and other cross-functional teams to investigate and resolve product and process quality issues.
• Support root cause analysis, corrective actions, and continuous improvement activities.
   

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field OR a High School Diploma / GED with a minimum of 6 years experience in manufacturing or similar industry
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in manufacturing leadership with a focus on Quality Engineering
• Strong knowledge of quality standards and regulatory requirements (e.g., ISO 9001, Six Sigma)

• Proven experience in leading quality improvement projects and initiatives.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Strong leadership and communication abilities, with the capability to work effectively with diverse teams.
• Certification in quality management (e.g., CQE, CQA, Six Sigma) is preferred
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems
• Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs
• Established project management skills.

Eligibility Requirements

• This position is 100% onsite at the GE Vernova Pensacola, FL site
• Must be willing to work overtime or weekends as business needs require
• Able to travel up to 10% domestically or internationally to other GE Vernova sites

For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $81,700.00 and $136,700.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set.

 

 

Bonus eligibility: discretionary annual bonus.
