This role is a great fit for someone who understands Personal Lines P&C insurance, enjoys working closely with business and technical teams, and can help bring policy administration solutions to life.

About the Role

The Guidewire Business Analyst role is focused on supporting Guidewire PolicyCenter implementations for Personal Lines Property & Casualty insurance products, including Personal Auto and Homeowners. This person will work closely with business stakeholders, product owners, technical teams, and delivery leaders to gather requirements, define business processes, support solution design, and help ensure successful delivery across Agile project teams. We’re looking for someone with strong PolicyCenter knowledge, insurance domain expertise, and the ability to translate complex business needs into clear, actionable requirements.

  • Facilitate discovery sessions, requirements workshops, backlog refinement, sprint planning, and stakeholder review meetings.
  • Use Agile/Scrum practices to support delivery, clarify requirements, manage dependencies, and help resolve project questions.
  • Work with teams using tools such as JIRA, Confluence, and business process modeling tools.
  • Support requirements related to data migration, system integration, APIs, and Guidewire ecosystem connectivity.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify risks, clarify business impacts, and support high-quality solution delivery.
  • Communicate clearly with senior stakeholders, business users, technical teams, and project leadership.

What you bring

  • 5+ years of Business Analyst experience, with at least 3+ years working on Guidewire PolicyCenter implementations.
  • Strong domain expertise in Personal Lines P&C Insurance, specifically Personal Auto and Homeowners products.
  • Experience with Guidewire PolicyCenter v10.x or Cloud is preferred.
  • Solid understanding of policy administration processes, underwriting, rating, and product configuration in PolicyCenter.
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and facilitation skills.
  • Proficiency in tools such as JIRA, Confluence, and business process modeling tools.
  • Excellent communication skills to interact with cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders.
  • Guidewire Business Analyst or PolicyCenter certifications preferred.
  • Exposure to Guidewire Digital Portal integrations for Personal Lines preferred.
