Senior General Accountant
Location: Zurich #LI-HYBRID
Reporting to the CFO, you will be part of a collaborative finance environment working closely with operational teams, Group Finance, our Shared Service Center in Portugal, Procurement, tax advisors and auditors. Your expertise will play an important role in ensuring that our financial information is accurate, reliable and compliant.
Your Mission
Take ownership of the accuracy and reliability of accounting entries and monthly closing activities.
Help ensure compliance with IFRS and Swiss GAAP, including the preparation, supervision and validation of statutory and consolidated accounts.
Work closely with the Shared Service Center and Procurement to support an efficient Procure-to-Pay process and timely payments.
Coordinate with the Tax Advisor on the company's tax activities and requirements.
Support the preparation of Group reporting packages and provide reliable financial information to management.
Contribute to monitoring financial performance and analyzing variances against budget.
Identify risks, opportunities and potential misstatements, recommend appropriate corrective actions and escalate significant concerns when needed.
Your Experience
Around 3–4 years of professional experience in accounting, ideally with broad general accounting responsibilities.
Swiss Federal Diploma in Finance and Accounting or equivalent qualification.
Strong knowledge of Swiss statutory accounting requirements and good knowledge of IFRS and international accounting principles.
Practical experience with monthly closing, financial reporting and accounting controls.
Understanding of tax activities, with experience working with external Tax Advisors and Auditors.
Fluent German and English, enabling effective collaboration across local and international stakeholders.
Strong communication, collaboration and analytical skills, with the ability to identify issues, take action and work effectively with different teams.
