This is one of Australia’s most significant fleet leadership opportunities.
Reporting directly to the President, Resources & Industrials, you will lead the next evolution of a large, complex and highly diverse national fleet portfolio, strengthening Fleet as a strategically managed asset capability that creates operational and commercial value across Toll Group.

The mandate extends beyond traditional fleet management. You will develop and execute a Group-wide fleet strategy, build greater consistency and standardisation across the organisation, and optimise how assets are utilised, maintained, deployed and managed throughout their lifecycle.

Success will require deep fleet and asset management expertise combined with strong change leadership and the ability to influence across a complex organisation. You will work closely with operational leaders and key functions to bring people together around a clear fleet strategy and embed sustainable ways of working across the Group. As a member of the Resources & Industrials leadership team, you will have the scale, visibility and opportunity to build on the capability within Fleet and further strengthen its contribution to our operational performance, long-term value and competitive advantage.

Key Outcomes

• Develop and execute a Group-wide fleet strategy that improves asset utilisation, lifecycle cost, maintenance performance and capital discipline in support of long-term business objectives.

• Lead the transformation and standardisation of fleet operations, maintenance practices and governance frameworks across a complex national footprint.

• Optimise asset utilisation, lifecycle management and fleet deployment to maximise performance and return on investment.

• Improve fleet reliability, availability and operational efficiency through disciplined maintenance practices.

• Build strong partnerships across operations, procurement and executive leadership to align fleet strategy with operational priorities and commercial outcomes.

• Develop a high-performing fleet organisation with clear accountability, disciplined execution and a culture of continuous improvement.

What You'll Bring

• An established track record leading large-scale fleet, asset management or heavy equipment operations within complex organisations.

• Proven success delivering enterprise-wide transformation and change.

• Strong commercial acumen with demonstrated experience improving asset productivity, utilisation and capital efficiency.

• The ability to influence and align senior stakeholders across multiple business units and operational environments.

• Deep expertise in maintenance, asset lifecycle management, reliability and risk management.

• A resilient, outcomes-focused leadership style with the credibility to challenge the status quo and drive lasting change.

Qualifications & Experience

• Tertiary qualifications in engineering, operations, supply chain, business or a related discipline will be highly regarded.

• Significant executive leadership experience in fleet management, asset management, maintenance or other asset-intensive industries such as logistics, mining, rail, construction or utilities.

• Demonstrated experience developing and executing fleet or asset management strategies at scale.

• Strong understanding of asset lifecycle optimisation, maintenance strategy and enterprise asset management.

• Proven ability to lead complex operational and organisational transformation programs across dispersed workforces.

• Experience operating within highly regulated environments where safety, compliance and operational performance are critical.
