Description
Tattnall Health Center is seeking a compassionate and motivated full-time Occupational Therapy Assistant to join the IN-HOUSE rehabilitation team in a long-term care (LTC) setting! The COTA will work under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist to provide direct therapy services to residents, supporting their ability to perform daily living and functional tasks.

Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out treatment plans designed by the Occupational Therapist to improve residents' physical, emotional, and cognitive functioning.
- Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), adaptive equipment training, and therapeutic exercises.
- Document resident progress, responses to treatment, and changes in condition accurately and timely.
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care and ensure continuity.
- Adhere to facility policies and regulatory standards including HIPAA, CMS, and OSHA.
- Participate in care planning meetings and in-service education as required.
- Monitor and maintain cleanliness and functionality of therapy equipment and workspaces.
Qualifications:
- Associate's Degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
- Current certification/licensure as an Occupational Therapy Assistant in [State].
- Valid CPR certification (or ability to obtain).
- Previous experience in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting preferred.
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
