Description
A Systems Specialist focuses on maintaining, optimizing, and supporting an organization's IT systems and infrastructure. This role ensures systems run efficiently, securely, and meet business needs—often acting as a bridge between technical teams and users.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and maintain IT systems (servers, applications, infrastructure)
- Troubleshoot system issues and ensure uptime
- Install, configure, and upgrade software and systems
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls
- Support system integrations and data flow between platforms
- Perform system backups and recovery procedures
- Document processes, configurations, and fixes
Required Skills
- Knowledge of operating systems (Windows Server, Linux)
- Basic networking (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP)
- Experience with system monitoring tools
