Under the direction of the Director, the Clinical Education Coordinator is responsible for assessing, planning, organizing, implementing, and evaluating staff development and educational activities for the department. This role serves as a clinical resource and role model, promoting an environment that encourages professional growth and quality patient care.I. Major Responsibilities:
1. Assist with maintaining clinical proficiency and promoting staff professional development through orientation and ongoing education.
2. Design and deliver educational offerings using adult learning principles and varied teaching methodologies.
3. Support staff development efforts and departmental goals, including performance evaluations and preceptor development.
4. Contribute to departmental and hospital-wide performance improvement initiatives, including policy development and data collection.
5. Serve as a clinical expert and resource, maintaining competency and modeling professional behavior.
II. Position Qualifications:
License/Certification/Education:
Required:
1. BS/BSN
2. Current RN license in Massachusetts
3. Current CPR certification
Preferred (Department-Specific):
• ACLS (ED)
• PALS (ED)
• Fetal Monitoring Certificate (OB)
• NRP Certification (OB)
• Certification in a related specialty
Experience/Skills:
Required:
1. Minimum 3 years of nursing experience in the department specialty
Preferred:
1. Education experience
