Finance Manager, Supply Chain Operations (Hybrid)

About the Role

Church & Dwight Canada is seeking a highly analytical and business-focused Finance Manager, Supply Chain Operations to serve as a key strategic partner to our Supply Chain and Finance teams. This role provides critical financial leadership and insights to support supply chain operations, cost management, forecasting, budgeting, and strategic decision-making.

As a trusted advisor to Supply Chain leadership and Operations Finance teams, you will lead financial reporting processes, develop analytical tools and capabilities, and provide actionable insights into Total Cost of Goods Sold (COGS), logistics costs, inventory management, and operational performance. This position also oversees and develops a team of two finance professionals.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Business Partnering

  • Partner with Supply Chain leadership and Operations Finance teams to provide financial analysis and insights on Total Cost of Goods Sold (COGS).
  • Support strategic and operational decision-making through data-driven recommendations.
  • Act as a key liaison with cross-functional teams including Revenue Growth Management, Brand Finance, Corporate Planning & Analysis, and Manufacturing Operations.

Financial Analysis & Reporting

  • Lead reporting and communication of monthly results, quarterly and annual transfer pricing updates, Purchase Price Variance (PPV), and logistics costs.
  • Analyze cost drivers and provide visibility into performance at the brand, product, and cost component levels.
  • Provide detailed reporting and insights related to warehousing, inbound and outbound freight, and supply chain operational performance.

Budgeting, Forecasting & Planning

  • Lead the financial forecasting and annual budgeting processes for Supply Chain Operations.
  • Support cash conversion forecasting through inventory analysis and reporting.
  • Ensure stakeholders understand key cost drivers and financial impacts across the business.

Inventory & Cost Management

  • Oversee inventory controls, reserves, and write-downs to ensure appropriate financial reporting.
  • Monitor inventory trends and support working capital optimization initiatives.
  • Drive analysis of supply chain costs and identify opportunities to improve margins and operational efficiency.

Continuous Improvement & Strategic Projects

  • Support supply chain initiatives including network optimization, capital investments, cost-saving programs, and vendor tenders.
  • Track, validate, and report on cost savings initiatives and operational improvements.
  • Develop process improvements that streamline reporting, increase efficiency, and enhance financial visibility.
  • Liaise with manufacturing and operations teams to understand operational impacts on the Canadian portfolio.

Compliance & Controls

  • Ensure strong financial controls and governance processes are in place and operating effectively.
  • Partner with Corporate Operations Finance to promote best practices and ensure consistency in financial reporting.
  • Maintain accountability for Supply Chain cost centre management and reporting.

People Leadership

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team consisting of:
    • Senior Financial Analyst, Supply Chain Operations
    • Financial Analyst, Logistics
  • Foster a collaborative, high-performance team environment focused on continuous learning and improvement.

Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • CPA, MBA, or equivalent finance designation.
  • Minimum 5 years of financial planning, forecasting, and budgeting experience, preferably within a North American supply chain environment.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience within the Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) industry.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing, logistics, inventory management, and supply chain financial operations.
  • Previous people leadership or management experience is considered an asset.
  • Experience with Oracle, SAP S/4HANA, Power BI, and AI-enabled analytical tools is preferred.

  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Ability to work independently, show initiative, and make sound business decisions with minimal supervision.

Compensation

The Ontario compensation range for this role is $100,000 - $140,000. Church & Dwight's salary ranges are intentionally broad to provide employees with opportunities for future growth and progression within the company. Actual starting salaries are determined based on internal equity, relevant experience, market competitiveness, and job location.
