Role Summary
This high-potential commercial development role provides critical operational and business support to the Vice President of Sales, Executive Director, and Regional Directors. It is designed as a 18–24 month intentional developmental experience aimed at building deep commercial acumen and preparing the individual for future leadership opportunities across the organization. It offers broad exposure to Sales, Marketing, and Finance, serving as a high-visibility platform to learn the business while driving the team’s operating cadence and strategic communications.
Key Responsibilities
- Operational Leadership Support: Serve as the operational point of contact for the Vice President of Sales and senior directors, providing business support to maintain leadership alignment and team efficiency within established organizational guidelines.
- Business Review Coordination: Support key business reviews and leadership planning cycles by gathering cross-functional inputs, drafting presentation materials, and documenting decisions and action items to assist in follow-through.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with teams across Sales, Marketing, Medical, and Finance on assigned priority initiatives, contributing functional support and project coordination to meet organizational objectives.
- Operating Cadence Management: Execute and maintain the operating cadence for the Sales leadership team. This includes coordinating calendar optimization, travel logistics, and expense reporting, as well as providing logistical support for meeting preparation.
- Commercial Development: Participate in a structured 18–24 month developmental path aimed at gaining exposure to senior leadership and learning the practical application of commercial strategies within Elanco.
- Administrative Tracking & Reporting: Maintain internal communications, update project trackers, and handle other operational tasks as assigned to ensure the smooth execution of Sales leadership priorities.
What You Need to Succeed (minimum qualifications):
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree or High School Diploma / GED with 4 years of equivalent experience
- Experience: A minimum of 1 year of experience in business operations, administrative support, or participation in a corporate trainee program
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and OneNote) and exceptional organizational skills with high attention to detail
