Lead the eDiscovery department’s AI enablement and adoption workstreams, helping move initiatives from concept and pilot stages into practical, scalable solutions for litigation attorneys and business services personnel.
Serve as the primary point of contact for attorneys and business services personnel to identify, design and implement AI-driven solutions addressing eDiscovery and litigation challenges, coordinating testing and rollout of new features, integrations and processes, and corresponding with eDiscovery vendors on external solutions.
Develop and maintain deep subject matter expertise of eDiscovery AI-enabled tools, serving as a go-to resource and trusted authority on tool capabilities, configurations and best practices for litigation attorneys.
Track and analyze user feedback, adoption metrics and emerging AI use cases, translating insights into practical recommendations for tool configuration, workflow design, internal development priorities, training improvements and vendor discussions.
Stay current on emerging AI technologies relevant to eDiscovery and litigation, conduct testing and evaluation of new tools for functional viability and fit with firm needs, and drive implementation.
Develop and deliver training materials, reference guides, walkthroughs, best-practices, and other enablement sessions on the effective and responsible use of AI solutions in eDiscovery.
Partner with eDiscovery Project Managers, Knowledge & Innovation Attorneys, IT and external vendors on adoption strategies, use-case development and workflow design.
Qualifications/Position Requirements
Strong working knowledge of artificial intelligence and its applications in the legal industry, with a particular focus on generative AI, natural language processing and their use in eDiscovery and litigation workflows.
Demonstrated expertise with eDiscovery platforms and tools (e.g., Relativity, including Relativity aiR), document review workflows and litigation support technologies.
Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to work well under pressure, manage multiple workstreams, prioritize effectively and adapt quickly to shifting priorities.
Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills, including the ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical audiences such as partners, associates and senior leadership.
Excellent client service skills required, including the ability to build trust quickly, communicate clearly and professionally, respond promptly to attorney and client needs, and deliver a high-quality experience with sound judgment and attention to detail.
Demonstrated ability to gather, synthesize and translate user feedback, business needs and usage trends into practical recommendations, support resources and solution improvements.
Experience developing and delivering training, reference materials, best practices and other enablement resources for end users.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a proactive, collaborative, adaptable and solution-oriented approach.
Education and/or Experience
Bachelor’s degree, preferably in data science, computer or information science.
5+ years of overall professional experience required, with at least 3 years in eDiscovery, litigation support, legal technology, knowledge management or a related field in a law firm or professional services environment.
Prior coursework or certifications in artificial intelligence, natural language processing, eDiscovery (e.g., Relativity Certified Administrator), project management (PMP) or change management are a significant plus.
