Role: Senior Accountant
Location: Scarborough
Salary: Up to £45,000 (DOE)
This is a great opportunity to join an established, independent accountancy practice in Scarborough as a Senior Accountant.
The role would suit an experienced practice accountant who enjoys managing client relationships, working across accounts and tax, and is looking for a long-term opportunity with genuine responsibility and progression.

Responsibilities of the Senior Accountant job include:
• Managing your own portfolio of established clients
• Preparing and reviewing year-end accounts
• Preparing corporation tax and personal tax returns
• Completing VAT returns
• Acting as a key point of contact for clients
• Dealing with day-to-day client queries and accounting requirements
• Managing deadlines across your own portfolio
• Building and maintaining strong, long-term client relationships
• Reviewing work and supporting more junior members of the team where required
Requirements of the Senior Accountant job include:
• Previous accountancy practice experience essential
• Strong accounts preparation and tax experience
• ACA or ACCA qualified, part-qualified or QBE candidates considered
• Confident dealing directly with clients and managing relationships
• Strong organisational skills and ability to manage your own workload
• Good technical knowledge and attention to detail
