Job Description

As a Security Officer Armed Security Screening in Virginia Beach, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Armed Screener in a healthcare setting, you will help maintain a welcoming, secure environment by screening visitors, monitoring access points, responding to security-related concerns, and providing exceptional customer service. Your visible presence and clear communication will help deter incidents while supporting patients, visitors, and staff. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out site-specific procedures, screening protocols, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Screen individuals entering the healthcare location in accordance with established visitor-management and access-control procedures.
• Communicate professionally with patients, visitors, and healthcare personnel while providing directions and explaining entry requirements.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned entrances, waiting areas, and surrounding perimeter to help identify and report security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess an Armed Guard Card/License.
• Baton Certification is preferred.
• CPR Certification is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
