Join DayOne – Shaping the Future of Data Infrastructure
DayOne is a global leader in the development and operation of high-performance data centers. As one of the fastest-growing companies in the industry, we’ve built a robust presence across Asia and Europe — and we’re just getting started.
As we expand into new international markets, we’re looking for talented, driven individuals to join us on this exciting journey. This is more than a job — it’s an opportunity to be a key contributor to our dynamic team and help shape the future of global data infrastructure.
If you're passionate about innovation, technology, and growth, we invite you to be part of DayOne’s next chapter.
Responsibilities:
- Requirement Gathering: Collaborate with Group Finance, entity finance teams, auditors, and other stakeholders to understand consolidation processes, reporting requirements, control gaps, and business objectives. Conduct workshops, interviews, and analysis to define comprehensive functional requirements.
- Solution Design: Translate business requirements into scalable SAP Group Reporting solutions. Configure and maintain consolidation units and groups, financial statement items, versions, subitems, document types, breakdown categories, validation and substitution rules, reclassification methods, currency translation, intercompany matching and eliminations, consolidation of investments, and reporting structures in line with business requirements and SAP best practices.
- Implementation: Lead or support the implementation and enhancement of SAP Group Reporting solutions, including master data setup, data collection, data mapping, integration with the Universal Journal and source systems, opening balance and historical data migration, cutover, user training, and deployment activities.
- Consolidation Operations: Support period-end, quarter-end, and year-end consolidation cycles. Work with Group Finance to monitor data collection, validation, currency translation, intercompany eliminations, equity and investment consolidation, non-controlling interests, cash flow reporting, and consolidated financial statement production.
- Testing: Plan and execute unit testing, system integration testing, regression testing, and user acceptance testing. Validate consolidation results, postings, eliminations, reporting outputs, and end-to-end integration, and ensure that defects are documented and resolved.
- Support and Maintenance: Provide ongoing functional support to end-users, troubleshoot incidents, perform root-cause analysis, coordinate SAP support cases, and implement sustainable fixes and enhancements to improve system stability, controls, and usability.
- Governance and Controls: Maintain solution documentation, configuration rationale, functional specifications, test evidence, operating procedures, and control documentation. Review Group Reporting substitutions, validations, master data, and consolidation rules to improve data quality and prevent recurring reporting issues.
- Continuous Improvements: Proactively analyse consolidation results, incident trends, system performance, and business workflows to identify bottlenecks, manual workarounds, control weaknesses, and automation opportunities. Work with business stakeholders to prioritize and implement improvements that increase close efficiency, reporting accuracy, user experience, and business value.
Qualifications:
- SAP S/4HANA certification in Finance or Group Reporting is preferred.
- At least 5-7 years of hands-on SAP functional experience, including strong experience in SAP S/4HANA Group Reporting configuration, implementation, integration, and support.
- At least 2 full life-cycle implementations or major transformation programmes involving SAP Group Reporting or SAP consolidation solutions, with direct responsibility for business blueprinting, solution design, testing, cutover, or stabilization.
- Strong knowledge of financial consolidation processes, including data collection, currency translation, intercompany matching and elimination, reclassification, consolidation of investments, non-controlling interests, cash flow reporting, and consolidated financial statements.
- Good working knowledge of SAP S/4HANA Finance and integration between accounting data, the Universal Journal, and Group Reporting. Experience with SAP Group Reporting Data Collection and SAP Analytics Cloud is an advantage.
- Ability to diagnose complex consolidation and reporting issues, perform structured root-cause analysis, and translate findings into sustainable system, process, or control improvements.
- Experience managing business stakeholders at Head of Department or Group Finance leadership level, with the ability to explain technical topics clearly and facilitate decisions.
- Experience in setting up and nurturing a key user network and producing clear process documentation, operating procedures, training materials, and user guidance.
- Experience working in a hybrid project and application maintenance environment. Able to manage multiple priorities and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, implementation partners, and external vendors.
