Job Purpose
The Managing Director, Australasia, will lead Clarke Energy's operations across Australia, New Zealand and the wider Australasian region. Reporting to the President, the role is accountable for delivering the regional business plan, driving profitable growth, building organisational capability, and ensuring alignment with Rehlko's culture, values and strategic objectives.
The role will provide visible leadership across the business, strengthening customer relationships, developing the leadership team and positioning Clarke Energy Australasia for sustainable long-term growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the successful transition into the Managing Director role, establishing credibility with employees, customers, partners and the wider leadership team.
- Take ownership of and execute the approved financial and operational plan for the Australasia region.
- Deliver business performance through effective leadership of the Sales, Service, Projects and Support Functions.
- Develop and implement a medium and long-term strategic growth plan aligned to Clarke Energy and Rehlko objectives.
- Build strong relationships with key customers, suppliers and industry stakeholders across the region.
- Create a high-performing and accountable leadership culture aligned to Rehlko values and behaviours.
- Develop succession plans and organisational capability to support future growth and reduce key person dependency.
- Identify opportunities for operational improvement, customer excellence and commercial growth.
- Ensure strong governance, compliance and safety standards across all operations.
- Act as the senior representative for Clarke Energy Australasia within the global Clarke Energy and Rehlko organisations.
Key Performance Indicators (First 12 Months)
Leadership Transition
- Successful transition into role with positive feedback from key stakeholders, leadership team and customers.
- Establish effective relationships with all direct reports, senior customers and Rehlko stakeholders.
- Complete a comprehensive review of the Australasia business and present recommendations for future growth.
Financial Performance and Value Creation Plan
- Adopt and deliver the agreed FY financial plan.
- Achieve budgeted revenue, profitability and cash performance targets.
- Maintain strong forecasting accuracy and operational discipline.
Talent & Organisation
- Develop a regional Talent and Succession Plan covering all key leadership positions.
- Assess organisational capability and implement actions to address capability gaps.
- Establish leadership development and succession priorities for the next 3-5 years.
Culture & Values
- Demonstrate and embed Rehlko's culture, values and leadership expectations across the organisation.
- Drive employee engagement, accountability and collaboration.
- Ensure the leadership team actively models Rehlko behaviours.
Strategic Growth
- Develop and gain approval for a three-year strategic growth plan for Australasia.
- Build and maintain a robust commercial pipeline across all core markets.
- Identify and progress key growth opportunities in energy transition and emerging technologies.
This role is critical to maintaining business continuity, driving future growth and ensuring Australasia is fully aligned with the strategic direction, culture and performance expectations of Clarke Energy and Rehlko.
