Overview
The Marketing Manager is responsible for coordination between the Agency, Sales and F&B Operations for execution marketing strategies and efforts in accord with the property and outlet’s positioning statement to meet planned covers ( by meal period) , rooms occupied ( by segment), and related banquet covers and revenue.

Responsibilities of Gold Key | PHR Managers:
Work with direct reports to share, gain alignment and set work plan for the department to achieve its annual business plan goals.
Hires and trains all Marketing Associates.
Execute the Operating Plan for your department to provide a playbook for accountability and operational excellence. Proactively anticipate and drive guest/service satisfaction and conduct root cause analysis of evaluate gaps in service delivery and initiate corrective action or recommend changes to operating/business plans.
Create a culture within your department, with Executive Committee, and Corporate Support that maximizes performance through effective communication including meaningful Preshift, structured weekly one-on -ones, teamwork, and regular performance feedback and recognition (PAFS, RODS, EVALS)
Ensure that all guest requests you receive are satisfied in a timely and efficient manner. Represents the company in handling complaints, arbitrating disputes or resolving grievances.
Conduct daily visual inspection of your assigned areas of responsibility, assessing compliance to owner expectations, PHR standards, specifications and inventories and brand standards.
Conduct inspection of property on a regular basis, assessing compliance to all standard operating procedures. Assists in solving any operational shortcomings. Document findings from inspections and follow up to ensure that action items are promptly and effectively addressed.
Create schedules and manage daily time and attendance consistent with the forecasted occupancy /covers and department’s approved staffing models.
Ensure responsible financial management of the company’s assets at all times including completeness and accuracy of the Income Journal, purchasing in accord with checkbooks and inventory organized and secured.
Attend the monthly financial meetings and speak to financial results and explain any variances for your departments
Produce required internal management reports.
Perform Emergency Response duties as required for this role in the Emergency Response Organizational Chart and Plan.
Lead special projects and other responsibilities as assigned. Participate in task forces and committees as requested.
Role Responsibilities:
Develop, in conjunction with the Agency, the annual marketing plans for the Company for the hotel and Food & Beverage Outlets consistent with the targeted annual revenue and expense plans and pre-opening budgets where applicable. [Corporate Process]
Ensure adherence to Gold Key/PHR and Brand standards.
Manage all agency relationships for outsourced marketing and public relations projects per established guidelines. [Contract guides relationship – scope not complete but believe it will be (1) overall brand strategy; (2) vanity website development/maintenance, (3) tactile social media execution and (4) campaign design]
Monitors the return on investment of each marketing program. [Corporate Designed Reports]
Oversee development and implementation of digital and print media for Hotels and Food & Beverage
Oversee all creative design and photography to ensure that branding for PHR and its assets is properly positioned.
Review and approve all guest communications pre-and post-acquisition.
Promote in-house marketing efforts.
Oversee social media strategy for the Asset.
Facilitate all entertainment and special events that are defined in the marketing plan and report on performance.
Negotiate and recommend for Corporate approval all sponsorship opportunities to be undertaken by the property. [Corporate Policy on Sponsorships and in-kind donations]
Work closely with lead producing organizations including area Convention and Visitors Bureaus, Chambers of Commerce, Welcome Centers, etc.
Liaison with IT as needed for marketing technology.
Ensure all property platforms (Open Table, Sonify, Event Brite) are maintained in support of operational needs.
Manage data integrity of digital customer databases. [Need to define with IT warehousing]
Promote continual networking with industry and community partners.
Reconcile marketing spend to revenue generated by F&B or Hotel and by segment within each. [Monthly Marketing and Revenue Reconciliations]
Review all forecasting, continually evaluating actual performance to projected performance and resulting marketing efforts to need periods.
