Assignments are based on coverage needs and may shift between locations, so we look for officers who can work reliably across the local area.ResponsibilitiesMaintain a visible, professional presence that helps deter theft and unsafe conditionsPatrol the property and verify that entrances and exits are secureMonitor for suspicious activity and safety hazards, and report them promptlyAssist visitors, customers, and staff in a courteous, helpful mannerRespond to incidents and emergencies calmly and according to protocolWrite clear, accurate incident and daily activity reportsCommunicate with site management and emergency services as neededRequirementsHold or be able to obtain a Virginia DCJS unarmed security officer registrationMeet Virginia's minimum age and eligibility requirements for security registrationPass a criminal background checkHave reliable transportation to reach assigned sites in the Roanoke areaWillingness to learn site procedures and follow them consistentlyAbility to stand and walk for extended periodsNo prior experience required — training and guidance are providedBenefitsWeekly pay on our regular pay cycleFlexible shift scheduling to fit around your commitmentsExtra-shift opportunities across multiple client locationsRoom to grow as our assignments continue to expandUniform & equipmentClass A black uniform required (must be able to obtain); equipment may be issued.ScheduleShifts may include days, evenings, overnights, weekends, and holidays.How to applyClick Apply to submit your information.
