About The Role
The Director, Integrated Marketing will serve as The RealReal’s go-to-market quarterback, translating brand strategy, customer insights, and business priorities into a single, prioritized integrated marketing plan.This leader will shape how major campaigns, growth initiatives, product launches, seasonal moments, promotions, partnership activations, and company priorities come together across the customer journey. They will recommend where the organization should focus, surface necessary tradeoffs, and align teams around clear objectives, audiences, messaging, roles, timelines, and measures of success.
Working across Brand Strategy, Creative, Communications, Performance Marketing, CRM, Product, Partnerships, and other functions, this leader will bring each team’s expertise together into cohesive programs that launch effectively and deliver measurable impact. The ideal candidate is both a senior strategic leader and a hands-on operator who can influence executives, create structure from complexity, and personally drive critical work forward in a lean organization.
What You Get To Do Everyday
Translate brand strategy, consumer insights, and company growth priorities into a clear integrated go-to-market strategy and marketing plan
Guide the portfolio, pacing, and sequencing of major campaigns, buyer and consignor growth initiatives, product launches, seasonal moments, partnership activations, and priority company initiatives
Recommend prioritization and resource tradeoffs, identifying where the organization should focus
Lead annual, quarterly, and ongoing integrated planning, establishing the calendars, operating rhythms, and decision points required to align teams
Develop integrated briefs that define business objectives, target audiences, messaging, channel roles, experience requirements, KPIs, and ownership
Orchestrate execution across Brand, Creative, Communications, Performance Marketing, CRM/Lifecycle, Merch, Retail, Product, Partnerships, Sales, and other teams to deliver a cohesive customer experience
Establish clear roles, dependencies, milestones, and governance, proactively surfacing risks and facilitating cross-functional decisions
Partner with Marketing leadership and channel owners to establish measurement plans, evaluate business and customer impact, and translate performance into future recommendations
Build repeatable playbooks and learning loops that improve go-to-market effectiveness over time
Lead and develop the Senior Manager of Integrated Marketing while remaining highly hands-on in the planning and execution of priority initiatives
Represent integrated marketing plans and recommendations in senior leadership forums through clear, executive-ready communication
What You Bring To The Role
Minimum Requirements:
15+ years of progressive experience in integrated marketing, go-to-market strategy, brand marketing, marketing strategy, or related consumer marketing roles
Demonstrated experience leading complex, cross-functional campaigns and launches from strategy through execution, measurement, and optimization
Deep understanding of how brand, creative, communications, paid media, CRM/lifecycle, site, , retail, product, partnerships, and owned experiences work together to drive results
Proven ability to translate multiple business priorities and stakeholder inputs into a focused, actionable integrated plan
Strong strategic judgment, including the ability to evaluate opportunities, recommend tradeoffs, and focus teams on the highest-impact work
Experience developing annual marketing plans, campaign portfolios, launch calendars, operating cadences, and go-to-market frameworks
Strong analytical and commercial orientation, with experience defining KPIs and using performance insights to improve future plans
Exceptional cross-functional leadership skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive accountability across teams
Excellent written, verbal, and visual communication skills, with the ability to simplify complexity and develop compelling briefs and executive recommendations
Ability to operate as both a strategic leader and a hands-on contributor in a fast-paced, lean environment
Experience managing and developing high-performing marketing talent
Ability to travel up to 10% of the time
Preferred Requirements:
Experience within a scaled consumer, retail, fashion, luxury, e-commerce, resale, or marketplace business
Experience marketing to multiple customer audiences or sides of a marketplace
In-house operating experience, potentially combined with integrated agency or consulting experience
Experience partnering with acquisition, lifecycle, product, and analytics teams to connect integrated marketing with measurable growth outcomes

The expected salary range for this role is $-$. To determine starting pay we carefully consider a variety of factors, including primary work location and an evaluation of a candidate’s skills, experience, market demands, and internal parity.
