Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Customer Service Patrol Driver in Cary, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a public education location, you will conduct routine foot, bike, and vehicle patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support students, staff, and visitors. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate professionally, and respond to security-related concerns with integrity. A valid driver’s license is required for this driving position. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and families by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, student-related concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate school personnel and/or emergency services as directed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of school buildings, grounds, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and report observed concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site-specific procedures, helping maintain an orderly learning environment.
• Prepare accurate reports of incidents, observations, and activities, and communicate relevant information to school administrators and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be able to ride a bike.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
