The Opportunity

Blend Labs, Inc. The Lead owns the integrity, accuracy, and timeliness of all external financial reporting, serves as Blend's subject matter expert on U.S. GAAP and SEC reporting requirements, and owns equity and lease accounting end to end.

This is a highly visible role that partners closely with executive leadership, corporate accounting, FP&A, investor relations, legal, tax, human resources, and external auditors. Beyond compliance, Blend views public reporting as a key communication tool. The Lead will help tell the story of the business accurately through MD&A and disclosures, and will prepare the function for increasing complexity as the business and the external reporting landscape continue to evolve.

The Lead will drive improvements to reporting automation, strengthen the control environment, and partner with accounting and IT to implement the tools needed to scale.
