What is Exit Factor?
Exit Factor is a business consulting firm that helps small and mid-sized business owners increase profit, efficiency, and the value of their companies so they’re ready for a sale down the road. We do that through business valuations and growth plans, 1:1 consulting, online programs, and masterminds. We typically work with companies up to $30 million in revenue, across industries, whether the owner is growing, getting ready for an exit, or somewhere in between.
We’re a local team with the support of a national/international franchise system.
The Opportunity
We’re expanding in the Triangle and looking for a proven business developer who knows how to build a pipeline and close. You’ll introduce owners to a service most of them need and few know exists: business value creation and exit planning. It’s relationship-driven work, not a call center. You build your own practice, and your results depend on your effort and your network.
What You’ll Do
- Generate qualified opportunities through networking, LinkedIn, and partnerships with CPAs, lenders, wealth advisors, and M&A professionals
- Sell our Business Value & Growth Plan (BVGP), our core consultant-led entry-point engagement, and our follow-on consulting programs
- Offer our online and mastermind programs to owners who aren’t ready for a full engagement
- Build a referral network of 100+ Power Partners who send you consistent, qualified leads
- Run your own schedule and methods; we measure outcomes, not hours
What to Expect
Top performers close about one BVGP per week. For most people, a realistic ramp to first close is 60 to 90 days after onboarding. You’ll develop most of your pipeline through your own relationships and the sources above, and we’ll give you a list of existing leads to start with.

- Exit Factor certification training in West Palm Beach, FL (required before you start). The training fee is reimbursed after your first client pays; we’ll cover travel and logistics in our first conversation

Compensation
Commission-only. You earn a meaningful percentage of every engagement you close, including BVGPs and consulting programs. Earning potential in the first year is $80K to $150K+, with unlimited upside. We’ll walk through the commission structure in the first conversation.
