Description
The position is responsible for administering payroll and employee benefits programs to ensure accurate, timely, and compliant processing of employee compensation and statutory obligations. It manages payroll operations, government contributions, benefits administration, payroll reporting, and employee support while ensuring adherence to Philippine labor, tax, and regulatory requirements. The role works closely with Human Resources, Finance, employees, government agencies, and external providers to maintain payroll accuracy, compliance, and positive employee experience.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
You will:
- Manage end-to-end payroll processing, including payroll inputs, attendance validation, overtime, leaves, allowances, incentives, deductions, adjustments, and payroll release.
- Validate payroll calculations, perform payroll reconciliations, investigate discrepancies, and ensure compliance with internal controls and payroll deadlines.
- Process final pay, separation pay, back pay, off-cycle payroll transactions, and other payroll-related requirements.
- Ensure accurate computation, reconciliation, and timely remittance of statutory contributions and taxes, including SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG, and withholding tax obligations.
- Administer employee benefits programs such as HMO, insurance, leave benefits, allowances, and other company-sponsored benefits.
- Coordinate employee enrollment, updates, dependent management, claims, coverage concerns, and benefit changes with external providers.
- Maintain accurate payroll, compensation, benefits, and employee information within HRIS and payroll systems.
- Generate payroll, compensation, headcount, benefits, and statutory reports, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
- Coordinate with HR, Finance, government agencies, payroll providers, and benefits vendors regarding payroll and compliance requirements.
- Prepare payroll reconciliations, management reports, audit requirements, and supporting documentation.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for payroll, benefits, deductions, and compensation-related employee inquiries.
- Support payroll system enhancements, process improvements, automation initiatives, and compliance projects.
- Maintain complete confidentiality and security of payroll, compensation, and employee information.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:
- You must have a bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- You must have 7–10 years of experience in payroll administration, compensation and benefits, HR operations, or a related function.
- You must have strong hands-on experience in end-to-end payroll processing and payroll reconciliation.
- You must have solid knowledge of Philippine payroll regulations, taxation, and statutory requirements, including SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG, and BIR compliance.
- You must have experience administering employee benefits programs, preferably including HMO and insurance plans.
- You must have experience using HRIS, payroll systems, and employee databases.
- You must have advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including payroll analysis, reconciliations, and data validation.
- You must have strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with experience investigating payroll discrepancies.
- You must have excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to explain payroll and benefits matters to employees.
- You must demonstrate a high level of integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism when handling sensitive payroll and employee information.
- You must be highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple payroll deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- You must be proactive, dependable, and comfortable working with internal and external stakeholders to ensure payroll accuracy and compliance.
