Position Purpose
Lead the end-to-end Supply Chain strategy for the Celaya–Villagrán Manufacturing Complex, including four manufacturing plants, the Aftermarket business, and the Dallas 3PL operation. Responsible for delivering operational excellence, customer satisfaction, inventory optimization, cost efficiency, and business continuity while aligning local execution with DAUCH’s regional and global Supply Chain strategy. This role combines strategic leadership with hands-on execution to drive transformation, build organizational capabilities, and achieve sustainable business results.
Reports to: Site Manager, Celaya-Villagrán
Dotted-line reporting to: Head of Supply Chain Mexico
Experience and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA preferred.
- 10+ years of Supply Chain leadership experience in complex manufacturing environments; automotive industry experience preferred.
- Proven success leading end-to-end, multi-site Supply Chain organizations.
- Demonstrated experience leading large teams and developing high-performing talent.
- Strong expertise in S&OP, planning, materials management, logistics, warehousing, inventory optimization, and customer fulfillment.
- Experience managing budgets, working capital, and logistics costs.
- Proven track record driving business transformation, digitalization, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Demonstrated results in improving service, inventory, productivity, and cost performance.
- Knowledge of IATF 16949, MMOG/LE, and other relevant industry standards.
- Proficiency in ERP systems (QAD preferred), Microsoft Excel, and customer portals.
- Advanced English proficiency.
Key Responsibilities
The Supply Chain Director provides strategic and operational leadership for the end-to-end Supply Chain organization across the Celaya–Villagrán Manufacturing Complex, driving alignment with DAUCH's regional and global Supply Chain strategy while ensuring exceptional customer service, operational excellence, inventory optimization, and sustainable business performance.
Strategic Leadership
- Define and execute the Supply Chain strategy to support business growth, operational excellence, customer satisfaction, and profitability, in alignment with regional and global Supply Chain and site objectives.
- Drive strategic initiatives focused on optimization, digitalization, standardization, and continuous improvement.
End-to-End Supply Chain Leadership
- Lead the end-to-end Supply Chain organization across the Celaya–Villagrán Manufacturing Complex, including Planning, Materials Management, Warehousing, Logistics, Transportation, Inventory Management, and Customer Fulfillment.
- Ensure material availability, operational continuity, inventory optimization, and service excellence while balancing cost and working capital objectives.
- Develop and execute risk mitigation and business continuity strategies across the supply chain network.
Operational & Financial Performance
- Establish and drive key performance indicators (KPIs) related to customer service, inventory, productivity, logistics, and cost performance.
- Lead initiatives that improve operational efficiency, supply chain competitiveness, working capital, and overall business performance.
- Manage the Supply Chain budget and ensure effective allocation of resources to achieve strategic objectives.
Organizational Leadership
- Lead, develop, and mentor a high-performing multi-site Supply Chain organization.
- Build organizational capabilities, succession pipelines, and leadership talent to support sustainable business growth.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, innovation, safety, continuous improvement, and results orientation.
Strategic Partnership & Business Leadership
- Partner with Operations, Purchasing, Engineering, Quality, Finance, Commercial, and other key functions to ensure alignment and execution of business priorities.
- Build strong relationships with customers, suppliers, logistics partners, and global Supply Chain leadership.
- Serve as a key member of the Site Leadership Team, contributing to strategic business decisions, operational excellence, capacity planning, and growth initiatives.
- Lead supply chain transformation through digitalization, standardization, and implementation of best practices across the organization.
