About the role
- Experienced Electrical and Electronics Engineering professional, working independently. Performs engineering work and applied research, coordinates activities involving the design and development of electronic equipment and devices and prepares engineering sketches and product information documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Sr. Electrical Engineer, you’ll be responsible for:
- Coordinates and facilitates the design, fabrication, modification, and evaluation of electronic apparatus, components, or circuitry for use in electronic equipment and devices, ensuing work is completed on time and established quality and budgets are achieved.
- Research, develops, designs, and tests electrical components, equipment, systems and networks to ensure that business objectives and required specifications are met.
- Prepares engineering sketches or specifications to construct, relocate, or install equipment, facilities, products, or systems.
- Prepares documentation including confidential descriptions or specifications of proprietary hardware or software, information on product development, introduction schedules, product costs, and performance weaknesses to track progress and analyze performance.
- Performs engineering work and applied research, development, and design of new products to ensure quality standards and business objectives are met.
- Develops and reviews structural design requirements for electrical cabinets, control panels, mounting brackets, busbar supports, cable routing, and related mechanical interfaces to ensure manufacturability, reliability, safety, serviceability, and compliance with applicable standards.
Requirements
As a minimum you must have:
- Bachelor’s degree or above in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Automation, Mechanical/Electrical Integration, or a related engineering discipline.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant engineering experience, or a master’s degree with at least 3 years of relevant experience.
- Solid knowledge of electrical and electronic equipment design, component selection, system integration, engineering validation, and technical documentation.
- Experience with electrical control panels, power distribution, wiring design, cable routing, electrical safety, and compliance with applicable engineering standards.
- Basic structural design capability for electrical equipment integration, including enclosure layout, sheet metal design, mounting structure, busbar support, clearance and creepage consideration, thermal and service space planning, and vibration/transportation robustness.
- Proficiency in structural design software such as Creo, SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or equivalent 2D/3D design tools; ability to review mechanical drawings, BOMs, and design change documentation.
- Ability to work independently on engineering tasks, coordinate cross-functional activities, resolve technical issues, and support product development from concept design through testing and release.
- Good communication skills and the ability to prepare clear engineering documents, specifications, design records, and technical reports.
