What You'll Do

• Set up and operate HAAS CNC mills to produce precision components from alloy steel and specialty metals
• Review blueprints, select tooling, speeds, feeds, and machining sequences based on job requirements
• Load programs and make routine G-code and M-code edits; adjust tool and work offsets as needed
• Complete first-piece and in-process inspections using calipers, micrometers, and dial indicators
• Troubleshoot machining, tooling, and setup issues independently
• Perform daily start-up, clean-up, and routine preventive maintenance

What You Bring

• 3-5 years of CNC machining experience with hands-on HAAS mill setup and operation
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and technical specifications
• Working knowledge of G-code and M-code (programming experience is a plus)
• Experience machining alloy steel
• Strong attention to detail, accountability, and commitment to safety

• Competitive hourly rate based on experience (we pay for skill)
• $3,000 sign-on bonus (paid quarterly throughout the 1st year of employment)

Requirements

Competencies and Experience Needed:

• 3 – 5 years of CNC machining experience required
• Programming knowledge preferred
• Giddings & Lewis CNC 800 Control experience desired
• Fork-lift experience required.
• Good knowledge of and experience working with steel.
• Layout and light welding previous experience required.
• Must be able to read and interpret blueprints & BOM’s.
• Detail oriented, demonstrated high level of accuracy and to work safely.

Physical Requirements:

• Position requires physical capability which includes standing most of the time, some lifting up to 25 to 50 pounds, and pushing, pulling, bending, stooping, reaching as needed.    
• Standard shift is ten hours per day, with Steel-toe boots and safety glasses required.
