Manufacturing Trainer

About the role

PacSci EMC is seeking a Manufacturing Trainer to prepare employees for safe, consistent work in our manufacturing environment. This role delivers hands-on training for new employees and coordinates the records that show training has been completed. The anticipated focus is approximately 70% training and 30% compliance coordination. The trainer works closely with production supervisors and leads to support employee readiness and accurate, timely training documentation.

What you will do

• Own the Chandler training line and provide hands-on instruction during new mechanical assemblers’ initial two weeks of training, including task demonstrations and checks for understanding.
• Deliver established on-the-job, special-skill, recurring, onboarding, cross-functional, and classroom training; adjust instruction to employee needs and recommend improvements to the program.
• Establish and communicate training schedules and rotations; coordinate with supervisors, production leads, and subject matter experts to identify needs and track completion.
• Explain and demonstrate work instructions, manufacturing processes, and safety and personal protective equipment practices in a clear, patient, and consistent manner.
• Enter, maintain, retrieve, and reconcile compliance and job-training records in MyLearning and the training database; maintain accurate training matrices and employee training files.
• Follow up with supervisors and leads to obtain completed training documentation after employees move from the training line into production; assist with audits and related record requests.
• Contribute to training materials such as presentations, visual work instructions, guides, handouts, and e-learning content as program needs evolve.
• When training needs permit, support hands-on manufacturing activities as assigned while maintaining training and compliance priorities; perform other duties as assigned.

What you bring

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• At least three years of experience training employees, including hands-on training in a manufacturing or production environment and firsthand experience performing manufacturing work.
• Ability to demonstrate a manual task, explain detailed work instructions, and assess whether a trainee can perform the work correctly.
• Clear verbal and written communication, organization, prioritization, and ownership of training schedules and documentation.
• Understanding of manufacturing safety practices and personal protective equipment; working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint.
• Ability to work on-site in Chandler and to pass the required ATF background screening process.

Preferred qualifications

• Associate degree.
• Experience administering or managing a learning management system or training database.
• Experience developing or contributing to visual work instructions or delivering group training.
• Exposure to Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methods; prior leadership or team coaching experience.

Pay Range

The salary range for this position (in local currency) is 20.34-37.74
