We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented EHS Administrator to support our Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) programs and initiatives. This role is responsible for coordinating and maintaining EHS training, documentation, action items, and follow-up activities to ensure requirements are completed accurately and on time.

 

The ideal candidate is an organized self-starter who is comfortable communicating with employees at all levels, leading training sessions, following up with others to obtain outstanding information, and tracking items through to completion. Strong time management, attention to detail, and the ability to keep multiple priorities moving forward are essential to success in this position.

 

What You Will Do:

• Coordinate, organize, and track EHS training programs, including scheduling, communications, attendance, documentation, and completion records.
• Lead and facilitate EHS training sessions for employees and supervisors, creating an engaging and professional learning environment.
• Communicate training requirements and expectations clearly to employees and management.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date EHS records, documentation, training matrices, and compliance tracking systems.
• Monitor outstanding training, documentation, inspections, corrective actions, and other EHS-related items.
• Proactively follow up with employees, supervisors, and departments on missing or incomplete items.
• Track action items from identification through final closure, ensuring deadlines are understood and commitments are completed.
• Provide regular status updates on outstanding items and escalate overdue or unresolved issues when appropriate.
• Assist with audits, inspections, incident documentation, and other EHS program activities as needed.
• Support the implementation and continuous improvement of EHS policies, procedures, and programs.
• Ensure EHS documentation is organized, accessible, and maintained according to company requirements.
• Work collaboratively with employees and leadership to promote a strong culture of safety and environmental responsibility.
• Manage multiple deadlines and priorities while maintaining a high level of accuracy and follow-through.

 

Qualifications You Must Have:

• Previous experience in administrative position
• Must have excellent attention to detail with the ability to work in a highly organized manner
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Proficient use of MS Office -Word/Excel and Adobe/Foxit
• Ability to switch between tasks and work to deadlines while maintaining accuracy
• Effective communication skills with the ability to work in a team environment
• Demonstrate self-starting, proactive characteristics to work with limited oversight

 

Qualifications We Prefer:

• Minimum 2+ years experience in administrative position.
• Knowledge of Ontario Occupational Health and Safety Act and Regulations.

This position involves technologies regulated by the Canadian government’s Controlled Goods Program and the Contract Security Program. The salary range for this role is 47,000 CAD - 84,000 CAD . The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills. RTX offers a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical and dental coverage, disability benefits, a retirement savings program, and tuition assistance through RTX’s Employee Scholar Program. Eligibility for specific benefits is based on factors such as position level, employment type (e.g., temporary or permanent), and business unit, and will be discussed during the hiring process. Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
