Position Summary:
As a Director of Market Access Operations, you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring seamless access and fostering growth for our company's products. Your primary focus will be leading, organizing and overseeing all operational components across Access Strategy, Payer Engagement, Corporate Accounts, Trade& Distribution, Field Reimbursement and Patient Support teams for all brands. You'll be instrumental in project managing company-wide strategic projects and initiatives, including upcoming product launches. The role will coordinate with multiple internal stakeholders including Sales, Marketing, Commercial Operations / Analytics, Training, Finance, and Human Resources to facilitate appropriate analysis and understanding between the teams and their partners with regards to various projects and workstreams. A strong track record of project management experience in a fast-paced environment is expected as is the ability to frame decisions through compelling analytics, critical thinking, and strategic recommendations.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
- Identify, manage, prioritize, and own Market Access strategic and operational initiatives driving execution across cross-functional groups; support the development and tracking of KPIs and monitor the progress of key functional initiatives.
- Strategically identify and anticipate evolving operational and analytical needs of the Market Access team and work very collaboratively with Commercial Analytics to drive forward analyses, decision support, reporting, dashboards
- Lead Market Access training in partnership with OcularTx training (e.g., across field roles, within market access team)
- Lead complex projects – including systems integration, CRM initiatives and key launch readiness initiatives - on-time and on-budget
- Lead Market Access vendor oversight and management – managing RFP processes and managing vendors / holding accountable to deliverables
- Manage cost centers for Market Access, working with Finance on budgeting and tracking
- Develop executive presentations on behalf of leaders for key constituents such as the Board of Directors and the Executive Leadership Team.
- Lead Market Access internal governance and ways of working; keep Market Access executive team on task by designing and driving agendas for weekly leadership meetings and launch planning sessions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in related field
- Minimum of 10+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical/biotech industry and 6+ years in a management or leadership role of people or function
- Strong project management experience.
- Highly developed interpersonal skills, communication skills, problem-solving skills, and an ability to thrive in a cross-functional team setting.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with experience developing presentations for board-level and C-suite audiences.
- Track record of delivering value to the business with the ability to manage and prioritize heavy workload and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
