Job Description
As a Security Officer in Sulphur, LA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As an Access Control professional at a chemical/petrochemical location, you will help manage entry and exit activity, verify credentials, monitor access points, and support a secure environment for personnel and visitors. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and provide professional customer service and communication. - Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a chemical and petrochemical location.
- Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and authorization, issue visitor passes, and maintain accurate access-related records.
- Screen visitors, deliveries, and vehicles in accordance with site procedures, escalating discrepancies or unauthorized access attempts to appropriate personnel.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols and reporting requirements.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, facilities, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
Minimum Requirements:
- A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
- Have at least 1 year of law enforcement experience, 2 years of security-related supervisor/manager experience, or 3 years of security-related experience.
- At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
