About the job:
- Work with R&D team to develop and support concurrent New Product projects through design-to-cost principles, design for manufacturability and the transition of new and improved products from development through full-scale production.
- Assure new project processes and product are capable of meeting performance and reliability requirements.
- Continue improvement for existing production line, and cost improvement.
- Define tooling and equipment requirements, capital equipment justification, and qualifying both tooling and equipment for production.
- Develop new product and new process documentation (Flow chart, FMEA, work instructions, routings, specifications, assembly information).
- Conduct error-proofing analyses and determine root cause of process variation and product failures.
- Determine cause of field problems & customer complaints. Implement effective corrective action in a timely manner.
- Assess and improve quality of internal production and the quality of suppliers.
- Work closely with internal and external technical support. Perform internal and external (supplier) process, product, and systems audits.
