Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol in Pittsburgh, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Community College Campus, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer at an educational location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and report concerns promptly. You will provide outstanding customer service, communicate professionally with visitors and staff, and support a welcoming environment. Pay Rate: $17.75 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and automotive program personnel while carrying out site-specific procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; document observations and communicate with appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of campus buildings, parking areas, automotive training locations, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and observe vehicle and pedestrian activity, reporting maintenance issues, hazards, and unusual conditions according to site procedures.
• Complete required activity reports, incident documentation, and shift communications in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
