- Proactively identify impactful opportunities and autonomously complete activities.
- Be a bridge between business and digital organizations, combining in-depth understanding of both areas.
- Present results to peers and senior management, to support / influence decision making
- Design sophisticated software components, services, and applications. Write design documents and review them with software engineering and architecture peers, incorporating and quickly iterating on the feedback.
- Own the delivery of your projects to production. Follow standard processes including writing high quality code, developing unit, functional, and performance tests, and creating end-to-end deployment pipelines to
- Adhere to and advocate for software engineering standard processes; including writing high quality code, developing unit, functional, and performance tests, and creating end-to-end deployment pipelines to production to maintain a fast velocity.
- Integrate your software with other distributed systems and shared APIs across bp. Work closely with partner teams to help evolve their systems to make all our services more re-usable and resilient.
- Hire and develop others by mentoring junior software engineers and peers and proactively sharing your expertise and interests with others.
- Partner closely with multi-functional teams including product management, data science, and UX design.

Understand LLM hallucinations and implement mitigation strategies such as temperature tuning, grounding with RAG, guardrails, and fine-tuning to improve response accuracy and reliability.
- Build and optimize semantic search solutions using embeddings, vector databases, indexing, chunking strategies, and retrieval pipelines. Develop and maintain RAG-based applications by creating embeddings, managing vector stores, tuning retrieval quality, and implementing efficient document ingestion and search workflows.
- Develop AI applications using frameworks such as LangChain or Llamaindex including Models, Chains, Memory, and Tools, while demonstrating Redis Cache and other caching mechanisms to store embeddings and responses, reducing LLM latency, token consumption, and operational costs. Collaborate wimulti-functionalnal teams to deliver scalable, secure, and production-ready AI solutions.
