Job Description

As a Security Officer Train Station in Brooklyn, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer supporting a busy public transportation location. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, respond to security-related concerns, and provide courteous assistance to riders, visitors, and staff. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to transit passengers, employees, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of transit facilities, platforms, stations, entrances, perimeters, and surrounding areas to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and policy violations.
• Respond to incidents, service disruptions, medical situations, and other critical events in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures.
• Monitor access points and restricted areas, assist with directing passengers and visitors, and report unauthorized access or suspicious activity to appropriate personnel.
• Prepare clear, accurate activity and incident reports and maintain communication with site representatives, emergency responders, and Allied Universal supervision as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a New York State Security Guard License.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
