As a Security Officer Full Time Front Desk Access Specialist in Secaucus, NJ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Front Desk Officer at a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will welcome visitors, manage access control and badge procedures, monitor alarm panels and security-related systems, and provide exceptional customer service. - Provide customer service to visitors, employees, contractors, and vendors at the front desk of a technology, media, and telecommunications location while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and policies.
- Manage visitor access by greeting guests, verifying identification and authorization, issuing visitor credentials, and directing individuals according to established procedures.
- Monitor front-desk communications, access-control activity, alarms, and cameras as assigned, and report unusual activity or concerns to appropriate personnel.
- Respond to incidents, requests for assistance, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following site-specific emergency response protocols.
- Maintain accurate visitor, vendor, and incident documentation, and provide clear handoff information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
Minimum Requirements:
- Possess at least 2 years of security-related experience.
- Alarm panel experience is preferred.
- A guard card or license is preferred.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
