Description
Des Moines drivers: this Chicago based OTR fleet pays up to 64 cents a mile, keeps the freight no-touch, and adds a $7,500 sign-on bonus.
The Numbers
- Mileage pay: $0.57 to $0.64 per mile based on experience
- Loyalty pay: another $0.03 to $0.06 per mile after year one
- Top 20% average: $1,650+ per week
- Sign-on bonus: $7,500, paid $5,000 at 6 months and $2,500 at 12 months
- Monthly bonus: up to 3 cents per mile for safety, miles, and productivity
- Extra pay: detention $12.50/hour after 2 hours, layover $100/day
How It Runs
- Flexible home time, 12 days out and 2 home recommended
- 100% no-touch, 50% to 60% drop and hook
- About 2,000 miles a week, top 30% run 2,300 to 3,000+
- All 48 states, mostly east of I-35, never forced into NYC
- Assigned 2021 or newer automatic Cascadia or Kenworth

Requirements
- 21 or older, US driver's license held for the last 12 consecutive months
- Valid Class A CDL issued by one state
- At least 3 months tractor-trailer experience (40 ft+) in the last 36 months
- Out of the seat a while? 6 months in the last 5 years or 12 months in the last 10 years can qualify with a road test
- No more than 2 moving violations in 2 years, no preventable CMV accidents in 5 years, no more than 3 jobs in the last 12 months
- No DUI/DWI in the last 10 years if you held a CDL-A at the time (5 years if before)
- Pass a DOT physical plus hair and urine drug testing
