Description
As Plant Finance Manager at Winland Foods, you will be responsible for managing all financial aspects of the plant's operations. This includes budgeting, reporting, analysis of financial results, forecasting, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. The Plant Finance Manager is a critical member of the Plant Steering team and partners with the Plant Manager to analyze operational performance of the plant and identify strategies to optimize performance. You will work closely with senior management to provide financial insights and support decision-making processes.

Schedule: Primarily days, but must be flexible. This position supports a 24/7 plant operation.
Work Location: 1801 N 36th Street, Grand Forks, ND 58203
Salary, based on experience and other qualifications: $93k - $138k with additional bonus potential

Roles and Responsibilities:
Performs month-end close activities.
Develops annual budgets and forecasts for the plant.
Analyzes financial performance against budget and provides variance analysis.
Maintains accurate inventory reporting.
Conducts profitability analysis for various product lines and initiatives.
Monitors and controls plant operating expenses.
Identifies cost-saving opportunities and drives cost optimization initiatives.
Partners with Department leads to analyze production costs and provides recommendations for efficiency improvements.
Ensures accurate and timely financial reporting in accordance with company policies and GAAP standards.
Maintains plant control environment.
Coordinates with auditors for annual financial audits.
Stays updated with regulatory requirements and ensures compliance.
Provides financial insights and analysis to support strategic decision-making.
Collaborates with other departments to evaluate investment opportunities and projects.
Assesses financial risks and develops risk mitigation strategies.
Fosters a culture of continuous improvement and excellence.

Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or related field required; Master's degree preferred.
CPA or CMA certification is a plus.
Minimum of 8 years proven experience in Accounting/Finance required, preferably in a manufacturing or food industry setting.
Strong knowledge of financial principles, budgeting, and financial analysis.
Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
Travel Requirements:
Occasional travel to business meetings and/or company locations may be required
