Position Summary
The organization is seeking a Nurse Practitioner – Cardiology – Electrophysiology to join its growing cardiovascular team in Shelton, Connecticut on a full-time, permanent basis.
This opportunity is focused on Cardiac Electrophysiology, providing clinical care to patients with cardiac rhythm disorders and supporting the electrophysiology team across outpatient and procedural settings.
The Nurse Practitioner will work closely with electrophysiologists and other members of the cardiovascular team to evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients with arrhythmias and other heart rhythm conditions. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced cardiology APP or a Nurse Practitioner interested in developing a career in electrophysiology.
Essential Responsibilities

Evaluate and manage patients with a broad range of cardiac rhythm disorders and electrophysiology conditions.

Conduct comprehensive patient histories and physical examinations.

Assist with the diagnosis and management of arrhythmias, atrial fibrillation, atrial flutter, and other rhythm disorders.

Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with electrophysiologists.

Provide medication management and patient education related to cardiovascular and electrophysiology care.

Participate in pre-procedure and post-procedure patient evaluations and follow-up.

Assist with the management and follow-up of patients with implanted cardiac devices, as appropriate.

Review diagnostic testing, laboratory results, ECGs, and other relevant cardiovascular studies.

Coordinate care with cardiologists, electrophysiologists, primary care providers, nurses, and other specialists.

Educate patients and families regarding diagnosis, treatment options, medications, lifestyle modifications, and follow-up care.

Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the electronic medical record.

Participate in quality improvement initiatives and evidence-based clinical practices.
Qualifications

Education: Master’s degree or higher from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.

Certification: Current national Nurse Practitioner certification.

Licensure: Active Connecticut APRN/NP license or eligibility.

Experience: Cardiology or electrophysiology experience preferred.

Nurse Practitioners with strong cardiology experience and an interest in Electrophysiology are encouraged to apply.
