What you’ll do:
- Acting as the primary Mechanical Engineering representative within multidisciplinary project teams from concept development through design, construction, commissioning, qualification, and handover
- Coordinating with Process, I&C, Electrical, Maintenance, Operations and Quality groups
- Establishing, maintaining and continuously improving site mechanical specifications, design guidelines, equipment datasheets, piping layouts, P&IDs, utility designs, calculations, equipment evaluations, and vendor submissions
- Supporting contractor management, construction activities, commissioning plans, startup activities, qualification support, and system turnover documentation
- Leading mechanical engineering activities supporting manufacturing, laboratories, clean utilities, process utilities, HVAC systems, building services, and site infrastructure projects
- Providing technical oversight and reviewing of engineering consultants, contractors, and vendor designs
- Participating in and leading design reviews, constructability reviews, risk assessments, HAZOPs, and engineering evaluations
- Evaluating new technologies, equipment upgrades, system expansions, and obsolescence replacement projects
- Supporting the development of project scopes, business cases, budgets, schedules, resource plans, and technical justifications
- Collaborating with Operations, Maintenance, Manufacturing Sciences, Process Engineering, Quality Assurance, Validation, EHS, and Facilities groups
- Mentoring junior engineers and providing technical coaching across the Site Engineering organization

Let’s find out if we’re a fit:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
- Minimum 8 years of engineering experience with increasing responsibility in mechanical systems, utilities, facilities, or project engineering.
- Demonstrated experience leading mechanical engineering activities for projects within pharmaceutical, biotechnology or other highly regulated industries.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems including HVAC, utilities distribution, piping systems, pumps, pressure vessels, clean utilities, and facility infrastructure.
