Description
Working Hours: Full time 37.5 hours per week - Monday to Friday This role acts as the key finance partner to IT and Digital functions, providing end-to-end financial oversight across technology spend, investment programmes, and operational costs. It is responsible for driving financial performance, delivering robust planning and forecasting, and ensuring strong governance, while enabling senior stakeholders to make commercially sound decisions and optimise IT investment. Own financial oversight across multiple IT areas, ensuring alignment between technology spend, delivery, and commercial outcomes Partner with senior IT leaders to drive financial performance, challenge decisions, and support strategic planning Lead end-to-end budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning processes for IT and Digital functions Drive cost efficiency and optimisation, identifying opportunities to reduce spend while maintaining delivery quality Provide clear financial analysis and insight, including variance analysis and proactive identification of risks and opportunities Ensure strong governance and financial control frameworks, including reporting, accountability, and alignment with Finance and Procurement Translate financial performance into clear, meaningful insight to support senior decision-making Lead improvements in forecasting, reporting, and financial processes to enhance transparency and data quality Act as a subject matter expert on finance systems (e.g. Oracle), supporting month-end and broader finance processes Collaborate cross-functionally with Technology, Finance, and Procurement teams to ensure consistency and accuracy of financial information A commercially focused finance professional with experience partnering with technology or digital functions Strong understanding of financial planning, forecasting, and managing complex cost bases Able to influence and challenge senior stakeholders, driving accountability and improved performance Highly analytical, with the ability to turn complex financial data into clear, actionable insights Experienced in working within fast-paced, evolving environments with multiple priorities Strong attention to detail combined with a strategic mindset and big-picture thinking Proven ability to improve processes, reporting, and financial governance frameworks Confident communicator with excellent stakeholder management skills across multiple levels Comfortable working cross-functionally in matrix organisations Qualified accountant (ACA/CIMA/ACCA) or equivalent experience with a strong technical foundation
