Russian Speaking Content Moderator (on-site)

Mandatory Requirement: Candidates must possess valid legal documentation to work in Bulgaria.

We are hiring full-time Russian-Speaking Content Moderators to join our on-site team in Sofia, Bulgaria.

In this role, you will evaluate, track, and manage user-generated digital material to help maintain safe, respectful, and secure online spaces. You will inspect written, image, and video content against clear safety criteria and policy standards, taking prompt action on non-compliant submissions.

This position requires full physical presence at our Sofia office and operates on a 24/7 rotating schedule. No prior content moderation background is required, as complete paid training is provided from day one.

Key Responsibilities

• Content Audit: Examine text posts, images, and videos submitted by users to verify adherence to platform safety regulations and standard operating procedures.
• Policy Enforcement: Utilize moderation software to approve, reject, flag, or escalate digital posts according to designated safety protocols.
• Platform Security: Identify and handle policy violations, including online fraud, hate speech, spam, unauthorized media, and explicit content.
• Decision Tracking: Log moderation outcomes and report unusual content patterns or software edge cases using internal tracking tools.
• Ongoing Learning: Attend regular operational workshops, policy updates, and quality alignment sessions to maintain consistent standards.

Candidate Requirements

Legal & Work Rights

• Work Authorization: Must possess valid legal documents permitting full-time employment in Bulgaria at the time of application (EU/EEA citizenship, permanent residency, or an active Bulgarian work permit). Visa sponsorship is not offered for this role.

Language Proficiency

• Russian: Fluent written and spoken communication skills to correctly interpret subtle nuances, context, and informal user expressions.
• English: Minimum Upper-Intermediate (B2 level) reading and speaking skills to navigate systems, review technical guidelines, and coordinate with international team leads.

Workplace & Schedule

• On-Site Requirement: 100% attendance at our office in Sofia. Remote or hybrid work setups are not available.
• Shift Availability: Readiness to work 5 days a week, 8 hours daily (40 hours total) on a 24/7 rotating schedule, including morning, afternoon, night, and weekend shifts.

Skills & Aptitude

• Basic digital literacy and comfort working with online applications, multimedia, and social platforms.
• An objective, level-headed mindset when evaluating sensitive or complex online media.
• Strong team collaboration abilities and adaptability within a fast-paced environment.
• Former experience in customer service, technical assistance, or content filtering is welcome, but not required.

Compensation & Financial Benefits

• Base Salary: €1,350 Gross monthly.
• Shift Allowances: Additional financial premiums for night hours, weekend schedules, and public holidays in accordance with Bulgarian labor regulations.
