The Role

The Executive Planning Consultant (EPC) serves as a trusted financial advisor to senior executives and C-suite leaders within key Workplace benefit plan clients. Acting as the primary relationship manager for a select group of executives, the Executive Planning Consultant provides personalized financial planning, retirement income strategies, investment guidance, and asset management support tailored to each client’s unique goals. By integrating workplace benefits and plan provisions into comprehensive financial plans, the EPC helps executives make informed decisions that support both their immediate and long-term financial well-being while delivering outstanding client experience through ongoing consultation and relationship management.

Working as part of a collaborative team that includes managing directors, relationship managers, and executive services associates, the Executive Planning Consultant drives client engagement, business growth, and client satisfaction. This role involves presenting executive services offerings during business reviews, cultivating new opportunities through referrals, seminars, and local events, and identifying strategies to increase assets under management and expand client relationships.

  • Ability to obtain an insurance license within six months of hire
  • Bachelor's degree required

  • Completion of CEP Level 1 certification within the first 12 months of employment is strongly encouraged

The Team

The Executive Planning Consultant provides planning and guidance for Fidelity’s Workplace Investing executive clients and operates within Fidelity’s Personal Investing business unit. We are a leading provider of investment management, retirement planning, family conversations, portfolio guidance, brokerage, benefits outsourcing, and many other financial products and services. We believe in establishing relationships, not just in building sales or building our assets. After all, our clients will place their investments, their savings, and their futures in your hands. You’ll be the one who will personally work with them to help achieve their dreams- whether that’s saving for college, for retirement, for a big vacation, or anything else. This is a serious responsibility and that’s why we’ll surround you with amazing, supportive people and all the tools you need.

Fidelity’s Onsite Working Model
Fidelity is transitioning to a full-time onsite working model through a phased rollout across regions and roles. Currently, some roles and locations require 100% onsite presence, while others require less. Onsite expectations are likely to evolve as the rollout continues. This transition does not apply to fully remote roles.

The base salary range for this position is $96,000-$210,000 per year.

Placement in the range will vary based on job responsibilities and scope, geographic location, candidate’s relevant experience, and other factors.

Base salary is only part of the total compensation package. Depending on the position and eligibility requirements, the offer package may also include bonus or other variable compensation.

We offer a wide range of benefits to meet your evolving needs and help you live your best life at work and at home.  These benefits include comprehensive health care coverage and emotional well-being support, market-leading retirement, generous paid time off and parental leave, charitable giving employee match program, and educational assistance including student loan repayment, tuition reimbursement, and learning resources to develop your career.  Note, the application window closes when the position is filled or unposted.

Please be advised that Fidelity’s business is governed by the provisions of the Securities Exchange Act of 1934, the Investment Advisers Act of 1940, the Investment Company Act of 1940, ERISA, numerous state laws governing securities, investment and retirement-related financial activities and the rules and regulations of numerous self-regulatory organizations, including FINRA, among others. Those laws and regulations may restrict Fidelity from hiring and/or associating with individuals with certain Criminal Histories.
