Primary Responsibilities
The Manager of Pricing Strategy will partner with Sales to optimize customer profitability. This role will drive EBITDA and sales by owning the strategy and reporting to measure and improve customer compliance with contract terms, as well as build deal strategies with optimal pricing structures. This individual will be able to structure data, identify insights, and effectively communicate across functions to create results. Essential Functions
DUTIES, TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead the Commercial effort to achieve customer contract performance expectations through:
- Effectively track contract terms and modeled metrics.
- Design and maintain accurate monthly reporting to identify strategic insights.
- Translate insights into executable strategies and partner with Sales to take and measure actions.
- Engage in deal strategy and execution for client deals, maximizing the success, value, and efficiency of key partnerships to drive EBITDA and sales.
- Provide recommendations for deal terms and conditions, with an emphasis on pricing tactics.
- Collaborate with Finance and Operations on deal analysis, financial modeling, and scenario planning to ensure deal parameters and variables are rigorously vetted
- Partner with the Sales team in managing the proposal process.
- The support required will include not only primary analyses behind all business proposals but also ad-hoc analytics, pricing, documentation, and other deliverables as needed.
- Participate in project working terms as a subject matter expert on opportunity modeling.
- Accurately track and calculate customer rebates and incentives, and partner with Finance on the accrual process.
- Other duties and projects as assigned.
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES:
- Ability to work cross-functionally to influence change and drive the execution of business strategies.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to make complex data and financial concepts easy to understand.
- Strong understanding of financial principles with the ability to analyze costs, revenues, and profitability.
- An understanding of key profit drivers, such as gross margin, promotional spend, and other program expenses with the ability to synthesize data and provide clear, concise recommendations.
- Proficiency in analytical tools and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) with advanced Excel skills.
- Attention to detail and a sense of urgency.
Minimum Requirements, Qualifications, Additional Skills, Aptitude
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Statistics, or related disciplines required.
- Minimum of 5 years of revenue management, financial analysis, sales or other relevant experience required.
- Minimum of 1 year of management experience.
- Experience with data tools (e.g., SQL, AS400, Power BI).
